Photoshoot
I took a range of shots so I can showcase the book well in the portfolio. Many will need editing as my make shift studio wasn't that great.
Final Images
These are most of the shortlisted photographs I will use for the promotional aspect and portfolio. Due to my set up I spent a while editing these to try to make them look high quality. Unfortunately even then they are not as could as they could be compared to if I had hired a studio.
Final Touches
I liked how the slip cover looked for the one on the right, but I did want to give the cut out window ago to see if I prefered it. Whilst in theory I think I would, the human error from me gluing the edges is what makes it look less professional, I do think I fine tune it better though. Also I guess since the premise of the book is imperfect human art then maybe it's okay? I have both options as I think both look good.
I also added a ribbon in the boxes so the book can easily be taken out, I quite like the way this looks.
Workshop Flyer
I felt a poster design for the workshops would be a good idea as it's a visual asset that would attract and advertised the events to people. I wanted to make it similar to the book whilst also looking like an art/design event. I put it onto a mockup to make it look more well rounded.
Shop mock up
I felt it was important to mock up the book in a store setting, I didn't want it to be too busy because the idea is it would be available at art/design gifts shops but also community art spaces. I felt this was a fitting set up to put it in.
Instagram
Final outcome
I want the instagram to share every aspect of design rules, from promotion of the book, to events, rule responses and help with the growth of the community online with people online sharing their own responses from the prompt of the weekly rule, book they own or an event they went to.
I feel I have shown this with the nine tiles so you can get an understanding for what to expect. I also have two to story examples to show what they may look like.
Website development
Final Website outcome
People could also buy the book on the website and find details of planned events. There would also be a rotation of the collaborations from workshops and Instagram, which is advertised on the landing page. I've designed these mockups with a simple to use website that isn't too complex as it isn't the sort company to have a high class website.
